Large Leaks: Allow to solidify and collect in sealed drums for disposal.
Disposal Method: Return to supplier for reprocessing

Section 07 - Health Hazard Data

Eye: Mechanical irritant from dust or fume.
Skin Contact: Not a route of entry into the body.
Skin Absorption: Not a route of entry into the body.
Ingestion: Lead is toxic and cumulative, affecting the blood forming activity, kidneys and nervous system. Symptoms include anemia, insomnia, weakness, irritability, stomach pains, etc.
 Inhalation: Inhalation of dust or fume must be avoided. Irritation of nose and throat may occur as well as effects due to absorption of lead into the body.

Section 08 - First Aid Procedures

Eyes: Flush with water for 15 minutes. Get Medical attention.
Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Ingestion: If person is conscious, induce vomiting and get medical attention.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If person is not Breathing apply artificial respiration. Get medical attention.

Section 09 - Special Handling Information

Ventilation: If fume or dust is being generated, mechanical and local ventilation is essential to protect operators and maintain TLV's.
Respiratory Protection: Only required if TLV's exceeded. Use a fume mask.
Eye Protection: Wear safety glasses or face shield when handling molten metal.
Skin Protection: Not normally needed.

Section 10 - Special Precautions & Additional Information

Storage: Store in dry condition.
Handling Information: Lead is regulated under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1025. No food or drink should be allowed where these products are handled. Personnel must wash thoroughly after handling the metal before drinking, eating or smoking.
